The best way to ensure a smooth moving day is to be sure you’re as prepared as possible! A few days prior to your move, we will send you an email asking to update your inventory of items and briefing you on our valuation options.

Please contact our office if you have any questions about your move, or if there are any changes that need to be made to better accommodate your needs on move day.

As we bill hourly, not per item, an exhaustive inventory isn’t necessary. However, it’s important to be as accurate as possible so your moving crew is prepared to meet your needs. If the crew arrives to find significantly more items than on the inventory, we may need to rewrite the estimate.

Inclement Weather Policy

It is unsafe for our moving and delivery crews and for our trucks to operate should snow or ice accumulates on the roads around the Seattle metro area.

In some cases, we may be able to push back start times to give the roads a chance to thaw. If weather forces Eco Movers to postpone scheduled service or delivery, we will make every effort to reschedule within 72 hours of the originally scheduled service or delivery. Scheduling is based on availability.

Eco Movers will contact all customers as soon as the possibility of any schedule change arises via phone call or our text-in line, and updates will be posted to the company blog. Customers can ask about weather-related cancellations by visiting our website or clicking the live chat option.

If Eco Movers cannot reschedule a service within one week due to availability or persistent inclement weather restrictions, and the customer requests to cancel, we may recommend a trusted partner of ours to assist in rescheduling the move.

If a deposit has been paid and Eco Movers cannot reschedule within one week of the originally scheduled service, unless weather conditions persist, the customer may cancel and request the deposit be returned.

If a weather-related cancellation pushes storage residency into a new month, Eco Movers will not bill for the new month of storage provided the customer makes a good-faith effort to reschedule delivery.

Customers often as Eco Movers transport items to charity for donation. As donation centers are often full or do not accept items depending on their condition, Eco Movers may take unaccepted items for disposal.

You will sign for your desired level of coverage with your lead mover along with the rest of the paperwork, or you can choose your valuation level online a few days prior to your move.
